Do you ever find it hard to stop pushing forward? When I say forward – I mean work, sure, but also general goals. It could be a project or even learning something new. I feel like I shouldn’t and cannot stop. Do you feel this way?

Everyone is always looking to the future and unhappy with the present. The notion of when I finish this goal, or this project I'll be happy... but that day never arrives. This book breaks down that need to push forward https://www.penguin.com.au/books/four-thousand-weeks-9781847924018. Lately I've been slowing down and getting off the productivity hamster wheel.
That is so true! A completion of a goal is not likely to make you feel "complete". We do need to slow down and not allow culture to force us to keep moving.
I'm always pushing forwards. However, recently I've been suffering from fatigue so I'm just having to do the bare minimum. Unlike in past times, I'm not troubled by this. I look forward to when I can do more to grow my Substack but for the time being, health comes first. I think this is the lesson I have learned from this experience - our worth is not tied up in what we do or what we achieve. It is intrinsic to us. We are valuable just as we are.

Thanks for the book recommendation!

Love this perspective Cali! I know this feeling too well, and I have come to similar conclusions.
