First off, thank you for checking out the 3rd installment of Full Stack Creator! I appreciate each of you.
As the world seemingly keeps falling apart, I want to keep this letter a safe space from all of that. I am not disregarding it, rather acknowledging it and providing an escape of sorts.
That being said, one of my links that I would like to share is related partially to BLM. As some of you know, I am a huge fanboy of Notion. This week Notion shared the following link from BLM Guide:
This is not only a fantastic resource but also fully built on Notion! Proving that Notion is a powerful and agile tool for all kinds of purposes. It allows the creators of BLM Guide to keep it up to date, without needing to fumble with a bulky CMS and get the information to people, fast.
Additionally, Slack and Amazon are partnering up to fix Slack's calling problems, while outfitting one of the world's largest companies exclusively with Slack – that is a huge contract for them!
Slack partners with Amazon to take on Microsoft Teams
Yup, Slack is replacing their terrible solution with a slightly less terrible one. Honestly, I have used Chime a few times, mainly to chat with Amazon themselves and had no major issues... other than it just being another tool to adapt to in a world with too many solutions that do the same thing.
Ok, into the meat of it. I have been teasing that I am releasing my Film Reel soon. Good news, I am releasing it to this small audience first! That might not excite you, but it does me. I have been making videos for 5 years now. I think of my latest work more like films, though the idea is the same. I am originally trained in photography, though I slowly transitioned to film for a plethora of reasons. I really got into it after I started my old blog years ago, mainly focusing on tech. I needed to step up the production value and target a wider audience, one that not only wanted to read, but also watch. My main reason for focusing on film is how it allows you to tell stories at a different level. It removes a bit of the abstraction an image can provide and gives you a clearer idea of the vision and the thoughts of the creator. This is my body of work from the end of 2018, all of 2019 and some of 2020. With the terrible attention span of the current collective peoples, I have chosen to keep it short, though I wouldn’t mind it being a bit longer.
Would you mind spending your next two minutes watching it? 🙏
If you took the time, thank you! I really hope you liked it!! If you have any feedback, I welcome it. You can reply to this directly or comment on Substack or on YouTube.
If you really liked it, I would love if you shared it anyway you can.
That's it! Since I took your time to watch and asked you to do things, I don't want to take anymore of it. Have a great few weeks. I hope they are as productive and relaxing as they can be!
